Minimal Theory is designed for desktop and is not available on smaller screens. Please open it on a desktop or laptop browser.
I grew up in Brasília, surrounded by Niemeyer's modernist architecture, bold concrete and sweeping curves. That visual language led me to graphic design and its history, and for over 20 years I've worked in design and advertising, art directing award-winning interactive projects. In 2013 I started experimenting with turning music patterns into minimalist graphic posters. That experiment became Minimal Theory, and over time it evolved into an interactive experience with collections deeply inspired by the modernist graphic design tradition that shaped me. Pick a collection, explore the art direction, make it yours.

Frequently Asked Questions
AI tools helped me build and refine the code that brings this project to life. That said, every collection is designed and art directed by me. The shapes, color palettes, compositions, and visual rules behind each collection come from years of studying and working with graphic design, not from prompts or generative AI. The randomness you see in some collections is controlled and intentional, built into the code as a design decision.
A recipe is a compact code that stores the exact settings behind a design. Since MNML Theory runs entirely in your browser with no accounts, no tracking, and no saved data, the recipe is your way of saving a composition. Copy it, keep it in a note or text file, and paste it back anytime to restore the exact design. You can also share it with others.
Prints are produced using giclée printing with pigment-based archival inks, the standard used by museums and galleries. The paper is a 200gsm enhanced matte with a smooth finish and natural white tone. The matte surface removes glare, keeping prints crisp and gallery-ready. Currently fulfilled through Prodigi, a professional print partner. The plan is to eventually produce them from my studio in San Francisco, with the ability to sign editions and handle production directly.
Prints are available in 12x18in and 16x24in, delivered rolled, and ready to frame. Frame not included.
